Weather Information

You could expect day time temperatures to be pleasant in the mornings with clear blue skies and getting to be quite warm with the mercury hovering at around 25-32° C during noon.

The winds pick up a bit at 1300-1600 HRS .The evening chill sets in once the sun sinks in and the nights can prove to be a bit cold.

July – August is predictably the best months as the Monsoons start entering into the trans-Himalayas by late August.

Weather Information

  • The climate of Dehradun is generally temperate, although it varies from tropical. Dehradun is an all year round tourist attraction with cool winters, warm summers and crisp mild monsoons. Dehradun Summers (March to June): In summers Dehradun have a maximum temperature of 35°C and a minimum of 17°C.

  • Haridwar in Summers: In the months of summer the temperature in Haridwar varies from 35°C to 45°C. Summer season is mild and moderate followed by a good rainfall in monsoon. Haridwar in Winters: The temperature ranges from 10°C to 30°C in the months of winter. The weather of Haridwar often becomes unpredictable.
  • Weather in Rajaji National Park:April to June are a bit warm; however, this is a better period to spot animals. It is advised to visit in the first half of the day to be able to explore the most of the park. Also during this time, the atmosphere remains pleasantly cool or moderate all through the day. Winter evenings would bring about a drop in the mercury level, so appropriate clothing is much recommended. Monsoons, on the other hand, are deemed unsuitable for tourism, and the park remains closed until November.
