    Answer:

    No, you are required to make your own visa arrangements.

     
  • Question:

    Do I need inoculations before coming to India?

    Answer:

    No vaccinations are necessary to travel to India however, foreign tourists should be in possession of a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, conforming to international health regulations, if they are originating or travelling through Yellow Fever endemic countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the following vaccinations (as well as being up to date with measles, mumps and rubella vaccinations): Adult diphtheria and tetanus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and varicella. It is advisable to check with your doctor before travelling.

    Can you make special arrangements for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries etc?

    Answer:

    Yes, we would be delighted to help you plan your special celebrations. However, as we are located on the edge of the forest, we have limited provisions and would appreciate being informed in advance

    What travel documents do we need to bring to the lodge?

    Answer:

    Valid Passport with a valid Indian visa and travel insurance for foreigners.
    Indian travelers must have at least one of their Indian Government issued ID.

    Do we need to carry mosquito/insect repellent?

    Answer:

    Since these are skin sensitive we recommend you carry your own, however, insect repellents are provided at the lodge.

    Are there mini fridges provided in the rooms?

    Answer:

    There will be a mini fridge in each room with beverages on complimentary basis.

    Will torches be available at the Lodge?

    Answer:

    Yes, each room will be equipped with a torch.

    What should we wear for the safaris and excursion trips?

    Answer:

    In summer, light linen shirts & trousers, long sleeve shirt/t-shirts, cotton beanies is advisable
    In winter, warm jackets, scarf, trousers, gloves, ear-muffs, woolen beanies is advisable

    What should we wear for the cycling trips?

    Answer:

    Quick-dry material or cotton shorts and t-shirts. A material that is breathable, like lycra clothing, would be ideal. Trainers with socks are advisable. Please also carry your day packs with your water bottle, sun block (SPF 45 plus), sunglasses (with strap), and any other personal items (such as your own personal medications).

    What bikes will you provide us with for the cycling trips?

    Answer:

    Regular plain terrain bikes will be provided for the cycling trips. Helmets are compulsory for everyone and the same will be provided with knee-pads at the lodge.

    The longer the duration of your stay, you will have the opportunity to experience more safaris in the different forest reserves that surround the Lodge on offer.

    Answer:

    The standard mattress has a memory layered medium soft surface. Requests for firmer mattresses can also be taken care of by giving prior notice at the time of the booking.

    What size beds are there?

    The bed is 7 feet long.

    No, we want our esteemed guests to relax and immerse themselves in nature.

    Answer:

    First Aid facilities and assistance of a paramedic will be available at the lodge. In case of medical emergencies, you will be assisted to the nearest medical facility from the list of hospitals available at the lodge.

    All meals are served at the restaurant. Only tea/coffee can be served in the rooms.

    The dress code will vary based on the time of your visit to the lodge. Smart casuals are encouraged.

    How do I get to the Lodge?

    Answer:

    You can arrive at the lodge via the following:

    Air:
    Lucknow International Airport (India):
    236 km/4 ½ hours approximately.

    Dhangadhi Airport (Nepal): 28 km/45 minutes approximately (excluding immigration time). The airport at Dhangadhi operates daily flights from Kathmandu.

    *There is an immigration check at the international border. Foreign nationals need a valid Indian visa and Indian nationals need valid photo-identity document to reach the lodge from this airport.

    Chartered Flight*: There is a provision of arriving by chartered flight at Mujaha Airport which is just 12 kilometres away from the lodge.

    * Subject to prior permissions and clearance from the authorities.

    Surface:
    One can easily reach the Jaagir Lodge, Dudhwa from:

    • Lucknow: 236 km/4 ½ hours approximately
    • Kanpur: 320 km/6 ½ hours approximately
    • Dhangadhi (Nepal): 28 km/45 minutes approximately


    Trains:
    Jaagir Lodge, Dudhwa is connected by train to the major cities through the following railheads:

    • Shahjahanpur Railway Station: 110 km/2 ½ hours approximately
    • Lucknow Railway Station: 233 km/4 ½ hours approximately

    Where is the Lodge situated?

    Answer:

    The Jaagir Lodge, Dudwa is located in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. The closest airport is Lucknow, the state capital.

    What is the minimum number of nights one can stay at the lodge?

    Answer:

    Our standard package is for minimum three nights. We recommend a stay of a mximum of five nights.

    How many rooms are available? What is the capacity of each room? What category are the rooms?

    Answer:

    We have 4 Luxury Rooms, 3 Luxury Suites and 2 Villas (the villas can accommodate 2 extra beds each). All rooms are on a double occupancy basis.

    Do you provide any kind of insurance facility for guests?

    Answer:

    Personal travel insurance - We strongly recommend that you have adequate travel insurance cover from your country of domicile for injury, illness, death, accident, adventure tours and activities, loss of effects or luggage and holiday cancellation. Kindly refer to the cancellation policy stated in our Booking Terms and Conditions.

    Insurance for the Jaagir Lodge, Dudhwa - The lodge is comprehensively insured for fire, earthquake, theft and terrorism.

    Answer:
    • Accommodation in luxury room/suite/villa.
    • All meals as mentioned in the itinerary, including tea, coffee and soft beverages in the restaurant.

    • Safaris on shared basis with a naturalist as mentioned in the tour program.

    • Prices do not include international or domestic airfare.

    Are refreshments provided on safaris, excursions and picnics?

    Answer:

    Refreshments will be provided on safaris and where applicable, packed lunch will also be organized.

    Do we need to reserve a table before any meal?

    Answer:

    No. The dining room can accommodate all in-house guests at the same time.

    Is the tap water safe to drink?

    Answer:

    No, we advise you to drink bottled water or from R.O. at all times.

    Do you consider special dietary requirements?

    Answer:

    Yes, special dietary requirements can be provided if the same is mentioned at the time of booking the package. It would be helpful if you could also list allergies if any.
