Ladakh is geographically termed as an high altitude cold desert of the trans-Himalayas thus making it the country’s coldest, highest and the driest zone.
Winters can be unforgiving at these icy heights when temperatures plummet to – 35 Degree Celsius in Leh. Temperatures remain under minus for almost 3 1/2 months from December to the month of mid-March.
Rainfall is recorded to approx 50 mm annually due to the geographical variables of Ladakh.
Summer’s ( May to mid October) you can expect warm to hot days in the summer and cool nights averaging are a pleasant 28°C- 32° C during the day and a barely manageable 10 °C -8°C in the night.
